# TokPull

> Free, fair-use TikTok video downloader without watermark. Paste a public TikTok URL, get the best available MP4 back. No account, no payment wall.

TokPull is an MVP-scope tool. It exists to save public TikTok videos for re-edits, archives, and reference. It is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance.

## What it does

- Accepts a public TikTok video URL (vm.tiktok.com short links, www.tiktok.com/@user/video/<id> long links, m.tiktok.com mobile links)
- Returns the best available MP4 source returned by the upstream downloader, with the TikTok watermark removed when the public source supports it
- Streams the file through TokPull (the upstream downloader URL is never exposed to the browser)

## What it does NOT do

- Does not bypass private, deleted, region-blocked, or login-only videos
- Does not extract MP3 audio (planned but not in v1)
- Does not download Instagram, YouTube, or other platforms (planned for later)
- Does not host downloaded files long-term (single-use stream then expires)
- Does not require a user account, login, email, or payment

## Pricing

Free with fair-use rate limits to keep the shared downloader stable. Limits are per-IP per-minute and per-IP per-day. Verified (Turnstile) users get higher limits than anonymous.
